Brock Taylor

Panama with Brock Taylor. by Nathaniel Harrington

This spring I went on a trip with Brock Taylor and my wife Tatum. We headed down south to Panama where we enjoyed a blacksand beach, fish tacos, and some pumping surf.

I created an Adobe Slate to tell the story as well as adding a video edit from the help of Tatum.

Check it out here.

Enjoy and thank you for visiting my website.

Panama by Nathaniel Harrington

Just got back from a 10 day trip down to the Pacific Coast of Panama along with my wife Tatum and Brock Taylor. The trip was so adventurous and exciting. We pretty much went out to no-mans-land to score one of Brock's favorite waves.

This is my first look at most of these images and I just wanted to get an update out there quick for family and friends. We're stacked on photos and video, so its going to be a while till the whole story comes out.

Stoked to share this first look.

Panama was so good to us.

Home sweet home for ten days. We barely left that long, black sand beach for the majority of the ten days.

Right out front of the beach house we stayed at. The shore break was epic all week.

Brock charged so hard all week. Can't wait to share his good shots.

The beach house was amazing as well as the housekeeper, Matt. He was our tour guide and surf buddy, could not have asked for more.

The Last day in Panama City was short but a highlight of the trip! We wondered the streets for a few hours before heading home. Well worth our time.

Again thanks for looking. I can't wait to show what we got.

Gracias me amigos.

The Barrel Post. by Nathaniel Harrington

We've had a few proper days in what seem to me to be an extremely slow winter. But, the days we have had are some really good days.

About a week ago we had an amazing south swell pop up. It wasn't huge, but the shape was perfect. There's been claims by many that this was the best barrel day of their lives. Well, take a look and decide if you think it would have been fun.

Waking up to Central Florida blessings.

not huge, but very playful.

I think a lot of people had their eyes locked onto views like this.

Brock Taylor on the hunt.

Chauncey Robinson.

I wasn't able to swim long, the current was gnarly but the views were epic.

Unknown to me in left hand drainer.

Matthew Glenn.

Brandon DeFillipo.

Matthew freaked these pelicans out.

I had to give up on swimming, just wan't getting the results I wanted. So I headed into the beach to shoot lifestyles of the Chaun.

Epic running lifey.

The views from the beach weren't to bad, so i stuck around to snipe off a few.

Daniel Glenn came to play.

Daniel Glenn. A guy walked by me and commented, "why would you do an air instead of get barreled??". I would say why not do a big air over a barrel section, seems fun to me!

Matthew Glenn, little chopper.

It was a-frames and offshores. Great job Florida.

Brock Taylor practicing barrel rides for an upcoming trip to Central America.

Daniel and Brock working together to gain scale on wave hight and air hight.

Mike Knapp logged serious barrel time.

Give Daniel Glenn some steep sections and watch him explode.

Every time I looked, Mike Knapp getting pitted.

My buddy Kieth said he made more barrels this day than any other time he can remember.

Daniel, seriously.

Brandon DeFillipo tearing in on his backhand.

Senior Brock. He's always out to have a good time.

Really good surf.

Where were you!!?

Seriously.. that right.

Another of Kieth.

I've been fishing with Chris Yergans a lot lately and I can tell you both his surfing and fishing are on point.

Not sure who this gentleman is, but i'm pretty sure he would be stoked to see this sequence. If you know him let him know!

Scenic Florida.

Another unknown to me reaping the benefits of a good wind swell.

Yergans catching barrels like they're snook.

This guy is stoked.

Chaunchooooo.

Mike Knapp pretending he's still in Hawaii.

Where were you Volume 2.

The Chaun. Forever known as, The Chaun.

Brandon DeFillipo almost able to stand up, and he's a big kid.

Matthew Glenn packed up a few lefts.

Another unknown gliding through some clean barrel space.

Looking into the hunny hole.

Chris Yergans on this like a redfish in the mangroves.

Yergans new approach to barrel riding.

Daniel Glenn kinda made the surf pay, hacking it to pieces.

Sorry about a ton of lame captions and non-sense. Its hard to spend this much time at a computer. :/

I hope you scored this day! If you know people in these photos please feel free to share this post with them. I'm sure they will be grateful.

Thanks for all the good times boys.

Winter Solstice. by Nathaniel Harrington

Continuing on with the Winter stoke. Yesterday marked the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. We took full advantage of what daylight we had and got some work done at Sebastian Inlet.

Joined by the SunBum A Team, yesterday would have been a great day to sit on the beach and watch the action unfold. No worries if you missed it, I captured as much as I could and am stoked to share it with you now.

Two of New Smyrna's favorite kids, Bobby Levy and Matthew Glenn.

Shenanigans.

Chauncey Robinson.

Bobby and I have a tendency to get this shot each time we shoot. Close is good.

Matthew Glenn going vertical on his backhand. Classic inlet view.

Yesterday had a few solid moments on the sand bar, keep looking...

Matthew Glenn has a stylish approach in the air.

Its good to see Wiley Robinson getting back in form. He was out for the summer due to a pretty bad broken leg, looks like he'll make a nice recovery in the next few weeks.

I was amped to see Brock Taylor push his air game a little yesterday, finally got a few shots of him up there.

Sand Bar goodies.

Chauncey Robinson maintaining control of first peak.

Wiley Robinson.

After Wiley threw this air rotator he paddled back out past me saying he's not yet ready to try to land these, but i'm sure it felt good to have a go at them again!

Brock Taylor had his Air game on yesterday!

Bobby.

Bobby.

Bobby Levy.

If there's surf, you're sure to see David Speir out there. I'm pretty stoked on this angle, it really shows how steep first peak can be.

And of course Blake Speir is not going to let dad surf alone, he'll be in the barrels as much as his pops.

One more for David Speir.

Where style meets water, Matthew Glenn.

Bobby getting nice and vertical!

Matthew Glenn.

Not sure who this is, but he sure took the high line on this wave.

Bobby Levy was searching for this barrel all day. stoked we linked up with at least one!

More sand bar action.

Blake Speir.

Blake.

New rule of thirds with the Chaun.

I gotta end this off with the most stoked from out there, Chauncey Robinson, da guy.

Fun times.

So amped to see the Ocean waken and give gifts like this! Looks like we should have some really fun days ahead. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for stopping in at my blog!

Sebastian Sunrise, Winter has come. by Nathaniel Harrington

Finally, that time of year when we start to get surf often. The other morning I swam out with a few friends during an epic sunrise with some small but fun peaks rolling through.

Check it out.

Chauncey (@chaunchoo) & Eddie (@specialed321) sitting in the line-up during a foggy break of dawn.

The surf was small, but the lighting was mental. Chauncey doing what he can with it.

Eddie Weirback doing a cutback.

Brock Taylor (@brock_simple) has been making the drive down from Cocoa Beach to surf, shoot and hang out lately, mahalo for that dood!

It offered up a few fun sections and with Chauncey's experience at the inlet he was all over it. I couldn't ask for a better setup.

What!? Even a lil head dip to start out the day for Robinson. Sickie!

Da Guys. The faces you'll see most at the inlet, and they all rip!

I'm so looking forward to the next coming months. I feel like we have a really fun year coming on!

Thank you for visiting,

Silky Sunday's. by Nathaniel Harrington

Its time to start blogging again. Social Medai doesn't suggest that I upload this many photos into it in one day, therefore I should get this platform going again so that you can at least see the photos if you want. The hard drives are full, and no one has seen whats inside.. :(

This post is from a couple sunday's ago. It was small and super inconsistent, but when the right waves came through it was so fun! The boys got a few barrels and some good times out of it, that's what matters.

Enjoy the pics.

Brock Taylor came out to Spanish house and got shacked!

Brock Taylor came out to Spanish house and got shacked!

Fun sequence from one of Brock's better waves.

of course Chauncey Robinson made it out. He too picked out some fun waves.

Brock, styling guy.

The storm made the lighting on this shot mental! I love this mood setting.

Chauncey on a 16 frame drainer. That doesn't happen in FL often.

View from the beach. It was as fun as it looks.

Stoked to be able to share my photos, and even more stoked that you visited my site.

Thank you all for the support!
