CNY's photographs of hooked Tarpon. by Nathaniel Harrington

I got my hands on some of Captain Chris Yergans memory cards and wow was I ever impressed with what I found in them. He has taken some of the most incredible Tarpon jumping photos I have ever seen.

Here’s a couple I edited.

Its apparent how much time chris has put into chasing these fish. Not only is he great at guiding people into the fish but he is very good at photographing them as well.

Well done CNY. Well done.

Glimpse at Florida's incredible eco system. by Nathaniel Harrington

Hey Hey and Hello!

Ive been working on a very cool video project with a good friend of mine, Chris Yergans, AKA CNY on the Fly.

These are a few frame grabs from insanely amazing moments during this past month of June. We have been fishing all over the state of Florida enjoying its many, many different creatures.

The Silver Tarpon is a Migrator that recently came back to the beach after spawning in the deep ocean. The smaller green back tarpon would be more of a Florida Coastal fish. That smaller male will now follow the larger female for as long as it can, possibly forever, looking for the chance to also spawn.

Jacks in Ft Pierce, Abstract _ natehphoto

Editing some photos last evening and I re-opened a folder from a show I shot with Carter Andrews. In this show we were chasing down some schools of jacks right off the beach on the treasure coast of Florida.

Its pretty abstract, maybe even confusing to most people who don’t know what they are looking at. But when you see it, its mesmerizing.

These Jacks are huge fish, averaging 30-40lbs. Carter targeted them on Fly and Top Water which turns into a spectacle to behold. Complete mayhem as these fish eat without much thought to it. They blast out of the water in every direction and when you hook up you better be ready for an intense tug.

Anyways this one will go on metal and find a home for one of the filmers I shot the show with. It will probably become a great topic for his guests.

Here’s a teaser edit I did for the show. Sets the mood. Check it out!

St. Thomas and St John USVI's. by Nathaniel Harrington

A couple panoramas I created while down in St John and the Vimeo video is a short I did for Ocean Surfari out of St. Thomas.

Times like these when I wish I could escape to an island and never come back to the mainland.

This short was a fun piece I put together for Ocean Surfari Charters located in RedHook, St Thomas.

I wanted to focus on some longer clips and not feel so rushed with cut to cut action. I definitely held the shots longer in post production than normal. Yah, just trying to set a bit of a mood. What a beautiful place. Enjoy.
