Headed home... by Nathaniel Harrington

Sorry I've been wrapped up in being busy here the last few days... I wanted to post but haven't been finding the time to get to it.

I'm just a couple hours from taking my return flight home, and I must say I'm stoked. It's time to get back to my wife and Tatum.

This trip has been a huge blessing! I'm so grateful to Potters Field Ministries for hosting me, letting me hang out, and showing me Antigua.

I'll wrap this up with a few more images of the city...

Thursday walk. by Nathaniel Harrington

Today was a walking day. Donothan wanted to show me around some more, so we went to the cross that over looks Antigua, from there we headed down into parts of the city where fewer tourist go, then heading off to walk through downtown again. Going through the high country above the city was pretty heavy... Homes up there are built with tin, they are tiny, they do have electric, but are really not much more than a shack. It was crazy to see.

this home was being built still. I'm curious to know what the final outcome will be.

A few block from the town square is this famous archway. Shortly after passing under the arch you will be at the Catholic Church.

Donothan and I walked through this church... It's heavy. Mother Mary is idolized along with other patriarchs of the scriptures throughout the entire church.

I'm just so thankful that Potters Field Ministries is here telling people about the true story of Jesus & the Bible. The church here has put a horrible oppression on the people forcing them to pay high prices for supposable "salvation". Keep the Potters Field  crew in prayer as they continue to reach out to these peoples spreading the Gospel, "We are saved by grace, not of works lest any man should boast".

I'll miss these views.

I'm looking forward to a couple more days here in Guatemala. I'm so thankful for this time here.

Thanks for checking in!

Day 3 Guatemala. by Nathaniel Harrington

Today was so awesome. It was Potters Field Ministries Kids Day. The campus was swarmed with frothing futbol players eager to play games and watch skits. It's amazing to see the impact happening here.

I did a ton if video work today and have no photos to share of the kids yet... So we'll just look forward to seeing all the action as more edits come out of the school.

My wife, Tatum, wanted to see the coffee shop I go to in the morning to use wifi and blog... It has an amazing view!

I'm going to miss this streets when we leave... :(

later in the evening we wanted to go up the streets to play some basketball.. We were greeted by locals who practice there often, and yes, we got to play them. Turns out Potters Field doesn't boast a dream team, we got spanked hard! Haha. It was fun to   get into the court and play though... They had a giant on their team who could dunk without jumping, we had no chance.

This game ended with Ezequil introducing the Potters Field Mission to the locals and we were able to spend 10-15min praying and talking with them. Awesome. The outcome was worth getting our butts kicked!

they practice here a few times a week and are very organized...  We saw the beating coming from a mile away. :) so fun!

sweet. It was such a busy day today. We have no schedule for tomorrow so I am hoping we can explore deeper.

Till then,

To Guatemala. by Nathaniel Harrington

Off to Guatemala! My new friend Donothan invited me to go there with him to check out the Potters Field Ministries School in Antigua, Guatemala. We leave today and will be returning next Sunday, six days in Central America.

I'm excited to see the happenings of the school, to spend lots of time soaking up the Word, and I'm sure that I have a lot in store that I could never dream off. It's awesome.

No place like the open road to spend some time thinking... The airport is a few hundred miles down the road, so there's no lack of time to consider what life is brining me.

There's lots to think about and lots to pray about.. Change is in the air.

Pray for Donothan and I as we set out this morning. I'll be posting and sharing as this quick trip happens. It's exciting times in the Harrington's lives!
